The Bogotá International Book Fair (FILBo), through its Professional Program, invites librarians, acquisitions managers, and information professionals to participate in the FILBo 2027 International Librarians Mission, taking place on April 21 and 22, 2027, in Bogotá.
This initiative aims to strengthen ties between libraries, cultural institutions, and the Colombian and Latin American publishing industry by facilitating the discovery of new catalogs and international cooperation opportunities. Selected participants will receive financial support and accommodation provided by the Colombian Book Chamber and Corferias to facilitate their participation in FILBo.
Who can apply?
- Librarians and library science professionals.
- Library directors and coordinators.
- Acquisitions managers.
- Professionals working in documentation and information centers.
Program Benefits
Selected participants will receive:
- USD 400 travel grant toward the purchase of airline tickets.
- 2 nights of accommodation(April 21 and 22, 2027).
- Professional accreditation badgewith full access to the fairgrounds from April 20 to May 3, 2027.
- Early access to information about FILBo exhibitorsand a schedule of meetings with publishers and book industry representatives in Colombia.
- Participation in the social and cultural programdesigned for invited professionals.
Conditions for Receiving Financial Support
Selected participants must comply with the following conditions:
- Travel must be booked in economy class.
- Airline miles may not be used to purchase flight tickets.
- Financial support will be provided via bank transfer after the visit has been completed and the required documentation has been verified.
- Participants must submit a copy of their passport and the invoice or proof of purchase for the airline ticket, clearly showing the amount paid.
- Participants must submit an activity Servicios al usuario Report detailing the work carried out during their participation in the mission.
