The Fellowship Program is part of FILBo’s Professional Program and its business-focused initiatives. Through this program, the Colombian Book Chamber and Corferias invite international publishing professionals to participate as fellows at the Bogotá International Book Fair (FILBo), which will take place from April 20 to May 3, 2027.
The program aims to foster long-term business and professional relationships between international publishing professionals and their Colombian counterparts, contributing to the circulation and international visibility of Colombian and Latin American publishing. Participants will have the opportunity to attend the International Business Hall, gain first-hand insight into the local publishing market, and build connections with publishers, literary agents, and other industry professionals.
Fellowship Program Benefits
The program covers economy-class airfare and three nights of accommodation. Fellows will participate in the International Business Hall on April 26 and 27, 2027, where they will hold meetings with Colombian and international publishing professionals to explore opportunities for cooperation, rights exchange, distribution, and business development.
In addition to the business agenda, fellows will take part in a professional, social, and cultural program specially designed to provide insights into the Colombian publishing ecosystem, encourage the exchange of experiences, and support the development of long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the sector. This program will include institutional visits, networking activities, and exchange opportunities with professionals from the publishing and cultural industries.
As an integral part of the experience, participants will also be invited to attend selected sessions of FILBo’s Professional Program, expanding their networking and learning opportunities. Selected fellows will be required to participate in virtual meetings prior to the Fair to introduce their profiles, areas of interest, and business expectations, as well as in other preparatory activities defined by the organizers.

International publishing professionals interested in developing business relationships with exhibitors, companies, and professionals participating in FILBo 2027, including:

- Sales and Commercial Directors and Managers
Particular consideration will be given to applicants with experience in the Spanish-language rights market, knowledge of Colombian and Latin American literature, and a demonstrated interest in incorporating authors and works from the region into their catalogs.
